A must-have for professional sprint track cyclists to ensure your feet are securely fastened to your pedals to eliminate pedal pull and increased power transfer.
Cleat locks mechanically lock the cleat to the pedal, requiring the rider to manually unlock the cleats to un-clip from the bike.
Designed to fit snug in the Shimano Dura-Ace pedal, cleat locks eliminate movement between the pedal and cleat. A spring loaded leaver on the underside provides a tactile lock engagement.
Designed in collaboration with Cycling New Zealand for the Paris Olympics.

Installation Tips
- Clamp the outer and inner block onto the pedal using the supplied M2.5 screws. Loctite 243 is recommended for these fastenings to increase security.
- An occasional application of oil or lubricant is recommended to keep the mechanism running smoothly
- The Cleat Locks are highly tolleranced and require the cleats to be new or in good condition for proper alignment to function properly.

No worries at all about the fixation at the start or in the dash.
Opening the pedals is also simple.
If you are used to the method of fixing shoes with a band, your feet may move inside the shoes.
It works well with stiff, just-fit shoes.

Quick and simple install. Never came unclipped despite my best attempts at doing so. These locks are going to make getting situated in the gate so much easier, and more importantly, getting off the bike after a TT easier! Another great product from Velobike!

Any hesitation I had immediately disappeared the first time I tried this locking system. Super secure . Immediately forgot any need for toe straps with the added benefit of not having to fumble around to tighten the toe straps. This is hands down one of the best inventions in foot retention ever.

I've been using straps for 40 years, and find these cleat locks to be much easier to use.
I really like that I can set the cleat locks to the lock position, click into the pedals and they are locked! Much easier for standing starts!
Unlocking them while cooling down is easier than undoing straps. I don't miss straps at all.

What a nice piece of engineering. Simple but ingenious.
Easy and simple to handle (after some practising), holding the feet secure on the pedals. Wouldn't give them away any more.

They work great! It's very smooth and easy to lock them before the start and after the runs I would always straight open them with the hands while slowing down towards the end, before stand still and clicking out. Super cool product, love it. I will use them for the 1000m and 4000m at the next Para World Champs.

Beautifully made, these things are awesome. No need for toe straps. I feel safe and secure when doing hard starts.

Eliminates the use of straps and the cramps I get while trying to tighten my straps in the final rounds. Also easier to have more aero shoes and shoecovers when you dont need the bulky straps.

Having used straps for a number of years I was a bit sceptical switching to a cleat lock system. However, they have worked flawlessly and provide a super secure fit which I thought I would be losing moving away from straps. It has also allowed me to use aero overshoes more often without having to jam a set of straps underneath the overshoes.

Do you know if the cleat locks will work with my Favero Assioma Pro RS pedals? They're the Shimano SPD-SL compatible ones that looks almost identical to the Shimano pedals?
Hello Scott, due to the precision in the mechanism, they've been tuned to the dura-ace pedals and unfortunately are not compatible with any other pedal models.

You are stating they are compatible with the Shimano Red cleats. The Red cleats have 0 degree of freedom or play. Are your lock compatible with the other cleat colours from Shimano, the blue (2degree) or yellow (6degree) ones ?
I understand that once locked, the cleats would lose the freedom of play, and this is fine, but having to coming to Reds for day to day track riding is a bit daunting.
They will work with yellow, blue and red cleats, but best practice is to use red due to the 0 float. The locks completely restrict side to side movement, and reds distribute more of the side loads into the pedals rather than directly to the locks.

How do you release the cleat locks? I can loosen my straps while cooling down before stopping. Iscthat possible with the locks?
It's a similar user experience to releasing a strap. During the cooldown, and when the pedal is at the top of its stroke, reach down to under your pedal to flick the lever over. Repeat for the other pedal and then you're free to unclip as normal.

How does it work? Does it wrap around the cleat lock where it is attached to the shoe?
Hi Kirill, the locks are fixed to the pedal. The 'U' shaped pin lifts up and fits around an area on the cleat. This restricts the side to side movement of the cleat until the leaver is pulled on the bottom side of the pedal to release the lock.

Hey, are there any possible safety hazards in case of crash, that cleats would not open, which could cause injury? Thnx
Hi Eduard, Like with any foot retention system, there are allways risks. The cleat locks are indeed designed to keep your foot and shoe attached to the bike, only when the latch is manually released are you able to unclip from the pedals. The cleat locks serve as a safety mechanisum to eliminate the risk of unclipping when riding the bike.

Are these compatible with ultegra pédales ?
Hi Siméon, We make them just for the Dura-Ace R9100 pedal. They will not fit any other model.
