Our Story

At Velobike, winning isn’t just about medals and podiums. It’s about pushing boundaries, solving the hard problems, and creating gear that empowers riders at any level to be a little better than yesterday.

From a garage in New Zealand to performance equipment built for winners

Our journey began in our garage in Inglewood, New Zealand. Glenn has an industrial design background, so problem solving is at his core. As a passionate amateur track cyclist, Glenn noticed problems that him and his community were having. Starting with the problem of Valerie not being able to use her track bike on an indoor bike trainer, he had the skills to design and manufacture solutions. Turns out that the rest of the community were hungry for it as well, and Glenn made a few more. The rest is history - as they say.

Glenn began to publish more innovative component concepts on Instagram. Before long, an Olympic athlete at Cycling New Zealand got in touch, connecting Glenn with Cycling New Zealand. With only a couple of months left until the deadline for new equipment to be submitted for the Tokyo Olympics, we created our first flagship product: the Bunch Bars.

Our mission isn’t just elite gear for elite riders. It’s to bridge the gap between professional teams and everyday track enthusiasts. Whether you’re chasing your first PB or lining up for the nationals, our aim is to give you the equipment, insight and community to perform at your best.

Curiosity drives advantage

Our curiosity and out-of-the-box thinking towards solving unrecognised problems within the sport sets our products apart. You'll feel unstoppable because your equipment looks and performs like nothing else.
