Aerobar Adjustable Risers

Universally-fitting Aerobar Adjustable Risers developed in collaboration with Cycling New Zealand in the build-up to the Paris Olympics. The adjustability helps the team dial in their position with micro adjustments to optimise the bike fit in relation to the UCI geometry rules.
The universal design enables the rider to micro adjust their standard 22.2mm diameter tube-style extensions from 15° up to 30°. Internal cable routing is considered for road time trial configurations.
The risers are compatible with almost any base bar. The risers can fit onto base bars with bolt spacing from 20mm through to 40mm, in M5 or M6 bolt sizes, and with a bottom-up or top-down bolting configuration. Note that when mounting in a bottom-up bolt configuration, a nut is held captive within the riser (fastenings not included).

Installation Tips
For optimal security, we recommend using Loctite 243 on all fastenings.

You can tell a lot of effort has been put into the product design of these bars. Installation was easy on my Merida Time Warp/ Vision Bars.
Everything fits neatly together, cable routing was easy and the adjustability is excellent.
Highly recommend if you need to add some adjustability and clean up your tri bike front end.

Easy to assemble, clean look. Only the clamp mecanism for the extension would need a plate to spread the force a bit. Would not recomend carbon-extensions. The small srews will damage it.

Fantastic design and quality! Love how easily and accurately you can fine tune the angle as well as the elbow pad position. Only thing to improve would be a printed or etched angle gauge on the side so you could see what angle you’ve set then do the other side the same. That said, the spirit level on the iPhone Measure app works too ;-)

Most angled risers are a set angle and aren't very adjustable/easy to work with. These definitely change the game in terms of convenience, adjustability, etc.

Dear Velobike,
I am considering getting the Aerobar adjustable risers for the Argon Electron Pro Tokyo addition pursuit bars. But I am not sure of the Argon Pursuit bars will fit nicely. Could you please advise and if possible, send me a pic of an example set-up.

Hi Neil, the RIO and TKO Generation Electron Pro base bars function the same. They share the same mounting system. Pictures in the product images are the angled risers mounted to the TKO basebar.

Is it compatible with the trek speed concept disc spacers?
The Aerobar risers are compatiable with any base bar with either a top down or bottom up fastning system using either M5 or M6 hardware. Please measure the bolt size and spacing to select the correct size. Diagrams of the mounting systems are shown above.

What are the recommended torque settings for the two bolts that set the angle of the skis?
Hi Jacob. I usually would put around 3Nm on them. A dap of 243 Loctite on each of the threads will keep the assembly nice and secure.

Yes, Im confident it will be compatiable with the Cadex Tri frameset and base bar. I strongly recomend to measure the bolt spacing and size on the bike to ensure the correct size risers are ordered.

Hi Daniel, Yes, the adjustable risers will fit on the Avanti Team. We have designed them to be compatiable with most basebar systems. The most common variation is between M5 and M6 screws. Just ensure these are measured on your existing system to select the correct sizes riser.

Yes, Im confident it will be compatiable with the Argon18 E-118 Tri frameset and base bar. I strongly recomend to measure the bolt spacing and size on the bike to ensure the correct size risers are ordered.

What bolt size does the black Argon 18 use, (the second newest modell)
The Argon18 Electron Pro RIO uses M5 screws. Before ordering, I highly recomend to measure the mounting screws to ensure the correct size angle risers are slected. M5 screws are just under 5mm in diameter, M6 screws are just under 6mm in dia. This information will also be available in the framesets user manual.
